POLO Advisory No. 16 – ITALY placed on RED LIST

On November 28, 2021, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF) has issued a new resolution that includes Italy and several other countries into the RED LIST countries/territories/jurisdiction.

Inbound passengers, regardless of vaccination status coming from Italy and the other red-listed countries within the last fourteen (14) days prior to any port of the Philippines shall not be allowed. Only Filipino nationals returning to the country via government or non-government initiated repatriation flights shall be allowed subject to prevailing entry protocols for red-listed countries.

Transiting passengers are not deemed to have come from the country if they have stayed at the airport the whole time and were not cleared for entry into such country by its immigration authorities.

Additionally, the entry protocols for countries/territories/jurisdictions classified as GREEN are suspended and shall comply with the entry protocols for YELLOW list countries. This includes MALTA and ALBANIA, who are also under POLO Rome jurisdiction.

The restrictions have been put in place and is effective 15 December 2021.
